We’re back at it again. New week, new heat, and I’m here to put you on to some of the freshest music out right now. Let’s dive in.
Rick Ross – Kiss of Judas (ft. Etana)
Rick Ross returns with that heavyweight sound we know him for, this time teaming up with Etana on Kiss of Judas. Smooth delivery, hard production, and Etana’s vocals add a balance that makes this one worth running back a few times.
Jermaine Dupri – Magic City
This one had me excited. Jermaine Dupri is, in my opinion, one of the best producers to ever do it. His new album Magic City does not disappoint—it’s ATL through and through.
With features from Ludacris, T.I., Rich Homie Quan, K Camp, and even CeeLo Green, the project runs 15 tracks deep. It’s got that bounce, that soul, and that hype energy only JD can deliver. If you love that Southern flavor, this is a must-spin.
Cardi B – Am I The Drama
The talk of the week: Cardi B is back. And honestly? She delivered. Second albums are tricky—fans usually walk away unimpressed—but this follow-up to Invasion of Privacy is a statement.
At 23 tracks, it’s stacked. She takes shots at Bia, JT (City Girls), and even Offset, but still balances the drama with bangers and big features. With names like Lizzo, Kehlani, and Janet Jackson in the mix, this is an album to sit with.
My standout? “Pretty and Petty”—Cardi sounds locked in, sharp, and unapologetic. That joint goes.
Local Artist Spotlight
Every week, I dedicate this space to shine light on local artists—because the talent in our backyard deserves ears, too.
If you’re an artist or know someone who’s putting out heat and deserves a spotlight, hit me up. You can connect with me on Instagram @Fly_KP_ or Facebook at FlyKP. Send me their work and let’s get them heard.
That’s it for this week’s recap. Run these projects, support the movement, and let me know what stood out to you.
Until next time—
Stay fly. ✌🏾
