'DONDA' IS FINALLY OUT NOW
Kanye West's long awaited album DONDA has finally been released — but according to Kanye, it was without his approval. The album hit streaming services yesterday morning (August 29th) and Kanye later wrote via Instagram, “UNIVERSAL PUT MY ALBUM OUT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL AND THEY BLOCKED JAIL 2 FROM BEING ON THE ALBUM." He later deleted the post.
Meanwhile, the Donda track “Jail pt 2,” featuring DaBaby, was originally unavailable when the album first appeared on streaming services, but became available later in the afternoon. Kanye also shared screenshots of text messages saying the track was being held up because of clearance issues from DaBaby.
Fans were also pleased to learn that Jay-Z's verse was reinstated on the original "Jail" after he was replaced by DaBaby.
Other features on the album include The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Pop Smoke, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, Roddy Rich, Ariana Grande and more.
SOULJA BOY AND CHRIS BROWN THROW SHADE AT KANYE
In related news, Soulja Boy and Chris Brown called out Kanye after the album was released. Soulja Boy tweeted yesterday (August 29th), "Kanye sent me that song “remote control” and I don’t hear my verse on it… hmm f*ck that n***a." Soulja Boy also shared screenshots of conversations he's had with Kanye over the past few months, asking him to collaborate on both DONDA and the Yeezy x GAP campaign.
Soulja Boy added, "This n***a Kanye smh. Tell homie dont hit my phone no more. That n***a Kanye weird af."
Chris Brown also posted on his IG Stories, "Kanye a whole h*e." He later wrote, "Nah he tweakin."
KANYE'S TELLING PEOPLE THAT HE AND KIM KARDASHIAN ARE BACK TOGETHER
In other news, Kanye has been telling people that he and Kim Kardashian are back together. According to Page Six, “Kanye has been telling other rappers that he and Kim are back together, but everybody knows that isn’t true." The source added, “The real story is that Kanye wants to beat Drake in record sales, and he is putting on a big show of performance art to grab all the media attention.”
The source added of his relationship with Kim, “They weren’t talking for months after she filed for divorce, but they began talking again earlier this summer for the sake of their kids. Kim is a nice person – while she and Kanye are not back together – she’s happy to support him in his work and his art, she wants a good relationship with him for the sake of their children.”
Speaking of Drake, he confirmed that his upcoming album Certified Lover Boy is due out on September 3rd.
Some Drake fans vandalized Kanye's childhood home in the south side of Chicago with a few signs.
